JOHN "JD" DAVILLIER

Through my upbringing in New Orleans, I learned to see the world as art. New Orleans is a city of stories. A city of live music on the streets and paintings on the walls, as if people are so filled with stories that they can’t help but to let them spill out.
I share that same obsession. A story can sometimes be a tool more powerful than any other, and I recognize that in all facets of my life. My art, design, and many other endeavors are a means of expressing those stories, so my goal is always to make sure I’m telling a story that means something with every creative choice I make.
Currently, I am a USC student, where I study art and design along with computer programming. I am involved in a wide variety of extracurricular activities as well as creating my own personal projects.
I love music, writing, reading, drawing, karaoke, story games, and listing things out.

But more than that, I love how getting experienced in something new informs my already long established skills. For example, my drawing changed so much as I started writing more, because the way I formed ideas for my pieces evolved.  That evolution is why I consider my wide area of interests to be a strength not just for the purpose of having a diverse skillset, but also for pushing my already established skills even further. These are, in no particular order, some of what I consider to be my top skills outside of design:
